Open Water

Really Looking Forward to a nice long open water swim with my friend Allison in San Diego, La Jolla Cove, at the end of February.

La Jolla Cove: The Cove is extremely popular with swimmers, scuba divers, and beachgoers. The waves are usually bigger than at Shores and sometimes take some time to get through, as does the interior’s kelp. A popular route it to swim out to the 1/4 –mile buoy (large white round one) and then head right to the 1/2-mile buoy. If you’re looking for more distance, keep going towards the Marine Room.
